The Credit Officer at Crimson Hotel Filinvest City Manila is responsible for evaluating and managing the creditworthiness of clients, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and maintaining effective credit control measures. This role involves conducting credit assessments, monitoring accounts, and working closely with various departments to support the hotel's financial stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Assessment:

• Evaluate credit applications from new and existing clients, including corporate accounts, event organizers, and individual guests.
• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to determine the creditworthiness of applicants.
• Recommend appropriate credit limits and terms based on assessment findings.

Credit Approval and Monitoring:

• Approve or recommend credit limits and terms for clients following company policies and credit guidelines.
• Monitor and review existing client accounts to ensure compliance with established credit terms and conditions.
• Identify and address potential credit risks, taking proactive measures to mitigate them.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Maintain effective communication with clients to resolve credit-related issues and address inquiries.
• Collaborate with the sales and events teams to understand client needs and provide credit support to facilitate bookings and transactions.
• Negotiate payment plans with clients experiencing financial difficulties to ensure timely payments.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and maintain accurate records of credit applications, approvals, reviews, and collection efforts.
• Generate regular reports on credit activities, highlighting key metrics, outstanding balances, and potential risks.
• Ensure all credit-related documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with hotel policies and regulatory requirements.

Policy Implementation:

• Assist in developing and implementing credit policies and procedures specific to the hospitality industry.
• Ensure all credit activities adhere to hotel policies and industry regulations.
• Provide recommendations for policy improvements based on industry best practices and regulatory changes.

Debt Collection:

• Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and initiate collection efforts for overdue accounts.
• Work with clients to negotiate repayment plans and settlements.
• Coordinate with legal and collection agencies as necessary to recover outstanding debts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, or Accounting.
• At least 2-4 years of experience in credit management, risk assessment, or a related role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and assess credit risk.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in credit management.
• Amenable to work in Muntinlupa City.
