Job Description

Role Purpose:

To underwrite CV/CE credit for the assigned area by ensuring good quality approvals, timely decisions, policy compliance and healthy portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assess and underwrite CV/CE loan proposals by evaluating customer profile, financials, banking conduct, bureau reports, cash flows, asset value, and repayment capacity.
  2. Conduct Personal Discussion (PD) visits and customer interactions, wherever required, to validate business profile, income assessment, end-use, and overall creditworthiness.
  3. Take timely and quality credit decisions within approved policies, underwriting guidelines, delegated authority, and defined TATs.
  4. Monitor portfolio performance, identify early warning signals, and support actions to maintain portfolio quality.
  5. Ensure adherence to credit policies, regulatory requirements, documentation standards, compliance norms, and audit readiness.
  6. Support implementation of credit policy changes, process improvements, and risk management initiatives across the assigned state.

Desired Profile

  1. CA / MBA / Post Graduate preferred.
  2. 3-6 years of experience in credit assessment, underwriting, or risk evaluation.
  3. Experience in CV/CE finance, vehicle finance, Mortgage, SME finance, or related lending businesses preferred.
  4. Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, cash flow assessment, banking analysis, bureau evaluation, and repayment capacity assessment.
  5. Good knowledge of credit policies, documentation, and risk management practices.
  6. Strong analytical skills, decision-making ability, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Manage state-level CV/CE credit underwriting by conducting quality credit assessments and PD visits, ensuring policy-compliant and timely credit decisions, and supporting healthy portfolio performance.
