Job Description

Credit Hire Handler – Salary £26700 to £28000

Are you someone who thrives on problem‑solving, enjoys investigating information, and loves delivering great outcomes for customers?
This role would suit someone who has experience in motor claims, credit hire, repair management or liability assessment—or someone ready to step up and develop their expertise in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. If you’re confident communicating with customers and third parties and enjoy working through complex information to reach fair decisions, this could be a great next step for you.

A bit about the job

As a Credit Hire Handler, you’ll play an important role in managing credit hire, repair, and liability decisions to help us deliver brilliant service for our customers. You’ll join a supportive claims team that works collaboratively to investigate claims, validate policy cover, and negotiate fair settlements. Your work will ensure accurate decisions, cost control, and smooth journeys for customers during what can often be a stressful time. You’ll be accountable for progressing each claim effectively, capturing accurate data, and keeping customers and third‑party representatives informed throughout.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Experience in motor claims, credit hire, repair management or similar investigative/customer‑focused roles

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage expectations and build effective relationships

  • Confident decision‑making, with the ability to interpret information and assess liability

  • Ability to balance customer outcomes with strong cost‑control and negotiation

  • Comfortable working with multiple systems and maintaining high levels of accuracy

Ways of Working

Our hybrid model offers a ‘best of both worlds’ approach. This role follows a 50:50 split between home and office working, giving you the flexibility of home working combined with the connection and collaboration of the office.

Please note: Training will be office‑based to ensure you feel supported, confident, and set up for success before moving into the hybrid working pattern.
