About the Role

We’re looking for a driven Credit Controller to join our high-performing team in East Tamaki. Reporting to the National Credit Manager, you’ll take ownership of customer accounts, manage debt recovery, and work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve issues professionally and effectively.

You might come from an outbound contact centre, collections, customer resolutions, or another KPI-driven environment where you’ve learned how to handle difficult conversations and stay focused under pressure.

You’ll succeed in this role if you:

  • Enjoy outbound calling and aren’t afraid of tough conversations
  • Are resilient, persistent, and motivated by targets and results
  • Have experience working with high volumes of customers or accounts
  • Bring strong problem-solving and reconciliation skills
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing
  • Are comfortable using Excel and working with detail and accuracy
  • Want to build a long-term career in credit control or finance

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a large customer ledger (2000+ customers) and maintaining strong account relationships
  • Making proactive outbound calls to resolve overdue accounts
  • Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
  • Negotiating payment outcomes while delivering excellent customer service
  • Investigating discrepancies and reconciling accounts
  • Working to clear KPIs and contribute to team and business results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excel skills and keen attention to detail is desirable
