Join our Credit & Collections team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to managing customer portfolios and supporting our financial operations. You'll be responsible for end-to-end credit management tasks, from evaluating credit limits to ensuring timely collections. Using your communication and analytical skills, you'll build strong relationships with customers while maintaining compliance with company policies and contributing to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
As a Credit & Collections Representative II, you'll engage with customers to ensure timely payments, analyze credit risks, manage order holds, and collaborate across departments to resolve complex accounts. You'll use various ERP systems and collection software to track activities, maintain accurate records, and meet service level agreements. This role offers opportunities for growth and development in an organization that values performance, quality, and innovation.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 1 year of experience in credit control, collections, or accounts receivable
• Preferred Fields of Study: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field
• Professional certifications in credit management (e.g., ICM) are advantageous
• Fluency in English required; proficiency in another European language is highly valued
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and collection software (CForia, GetPaid)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer negotiations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proven attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Experience in shared service centers preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities
• Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor
• Experience in financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and internal controls
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in troubleshooting and resolving transactional issues
