About the role

As a Credit Risk Business Partner, you will help shape and optimize our lending strategies, ensuring responsible growth, strong portfolio performance, and fair customer outcomes while balancing business objectives and credit risk.

What you will do

• Develop and implement credit strategies for lending products to support sustainable portfolio growth and risk management objectives.
• Monitor portfolio performance and customer acquisition trends to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Design and enhance customer segmentation approaches and contribute to the development of new lending products.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, regulatory requirements, and best practice guidelines to maintain responsible lending standards.
• Support the implementation of new risk strategies, scorecards, models, and decision-making frameworks to improve credit quality and operational effectiveness.
• Maintain and continuously improve application evaluation systems used across lending operations.
• Translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations that support commercial and risk-related decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure credit strategies deliver fair and positive customer outcomes.

What matters in this role

• Experience in credit risk management, credit strategy, data analytics, or portfolio management.
• Solid understanding of lending products, credit policy frameworks, and risk assessment principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and anomalies in data.
• Experience working with scorecards, predictive models, segmentation techniques, or decisioning systems.
• Ability to translate technical and analytical concepts into clear business recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• University degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience in consumer lending or financial services would be an advantage.

A flexible way of working

• Working hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility to start earlier or later depending on team arrangements.
• Hybrid working model, combining home working with office collaboration.
• Short Friday: every third Friday of the month, the weekend starts earlier.
