About the Role
The Credit Analyst II serves as a key credit leader within the commercial lending team, responsible for financial analysis on new loan requests and managing the ongoing health of the commercial portfolio through thorough analysis and annual reviews.
This is not a management role, but it is a position of influence. You will be a trusted resource to Commercial Business Officers and a go-to expert when complex credits arise. Your work will directly support the credit union’s commercial growth while ensuring disciplined risk management.
What You’ll Do
- Complete thorough in-depth analysis of new commercial credit requests
- Perform detailed annual reviews and ongoing portfolio monitoring
- Maintain organized, accurate, and compliant credit files
- Analyze borrower performance, covenant compliance, and emerging credit risks
- Partner with Commercial Business Officers to structure and evaluate complex credits
- Identify and help resolve problem loans through thoughtful mitigation strategies
- Contribute to initiatives that improve commercial lending processes and portfolio performance
- Support a culture of efficiency, growth, and exceptional member service
What You Bring
- Proven experience managing and analyzing high-volume commercial loan portfolios
- Strong expertise in commercial credit structuring and risk analysis
- Experience working with complex commercial credits, including real estate and operating companies
- Sound judgment and the ability to navigate challenging credit situations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to lead through expertise and influence
