Shape investment outcomes. Influence decision-making. Grow your impact.

About the role

Join QIC's Liquid Markets Group and help shape investment decisions across our Australian fixed income portfolios. Working alongside experienced portfolio managers and investment strategists, you'll deliver high-quality credit research and use this to identify investment opportunities and contribute directly to portfolio performance.

You'll be part of a highly regarded fixed income investment team known for its collaborative culture, technical expertise and disciplined investment process. This is a rewarding Brisbane based opportunity for an experienced Credit Analyst who enjoys combining fundamental research with market insights and relative value analysis to influence investment outcomes while deepening their own professional expertise.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Produce high-quality credit research across investment grade corporate, financial and securitised issuers.
  • Participate in debt investor presentations and engage with issuer management teams.
  • Conduct relative value analysis and provide independent credit investment recommendations.
  • Contribute to macro credit views with insights from bottom-up research and market analysis.
  • Build relationships with issuers, brokers and other market participants.
  • Contribute to investment process improvements and analytical tool development.
  • Present research, insights and trade recommendations to portfolio managers and key stakeholders.
  • Integrate ESG considerations into investment research and decision-making.

About You

You are a commercially minded credit professional who enjoys analysing businesses, identifying investment opportunities and contributing to client returns. You thrive in collaborative environments and are comfortable in communicating investment views to a range of stakeholders with confidence and humility. You will bring:

  • Experience in corporate credit analysis, ideally from fixed income funds management or a similar role.
  • Strong Excel skills and financial modelling capabilities would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and commercial judgement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to translate research into actionable investment recommendations.
  • A strong understanding of Australian financial markets.
  • CFA or other post-graduate qualifications (or progress towards) will be highly regarded.

If you’re ready to deepen your credit markets expertise, work alongside experienced investors and contribute to real portfolio decisions, we’d love to hear from you.
