Credit Administration Staff Assistant I

Provide administrative support to the Credit Administration Department, which includes the functions of credit administration, indirect lending, loan participation, alternative commercial loan portfolios. Assist Loan Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide administrative support and customer service by answering phones and emails and greeting customers.
Process transactions on sold and purchased loans (payments, advances, rate changes, wire transfers, etc.) to ensure that loans and General Ledgers balance.
Process new dealer loan data for input (credit reports, NADA values, financial capacity, and input worksheets.)
Scan daily work into Synergy and verify physical loan files.
Work with other associates to process documents, book and fund all types of participation loans
Prepare reports, gathering data and information from a variety of sources for Loan and Credit Administration
Handle legal documentation, check daily work, titles, UCC and other miscellaneous items within loan area.
Process title and lien releases, customer and dealer letters and scan/ship documents.
Maintain loan files, pending items, and perform collateral tracking.
Research and resolve problems and discrepancies. Process corrective actions, assist associates and customers by researching and responding to inquiries.
Send notices of payments/advances due as needed for participation loans.
Review other associates work for consistency and accuracy.
Support Loan Operations in projects and department enhancements as directed by Loan Operations Manager.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in the loan area preferred.
Three years’ administrative experience.
Basic knowledge of loans and legal documents is preferred.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Effective customer contact and interpersonal skills.
PC/Calculator experience required.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Bookkeeping experience or equivalent knowledge
Ability to file and maintain records
Math proficiency and aptitude.

Demonstrated aptitude to handle, sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships.

Physical Requirements:
Light Work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
