About the Role
We’re looking for a highly creative, digitally fluent Creative Video Producer to set the format vision, structural blueprints, and scaling strategies for our weekly shows, video podcasts, and short-form video ecosystem. In this role, you will act as a creative architect—redefining how digital finance storytelling is built, packaged, and continuously optimized across all platforms. You are an exceptional storyteller who operates comfortably in an evolving, AI-augmented media landscape, viewing emerging technologies as a powerful engine to elevate the impact and reach of premium human-led programming.
Key Responsibilities
Establish the creative blueprints, format structures, and visual standards for weekly programming, video podcasts, and short-form pilot initiatives across Yahoo Finance.
Translate complex macroeconomic and business themes into highly engaging, culturally resonant video concepts that drive sustained audience loyalty.
Lead and inspire cross-functional squads—including editors, writers, and designers—to deliver premium programming on accelerated timelines, acting as the ultimate backstop for creative quality and brand alignment.
Architect and optimize scalable creative production pipelines by establishing AI-augmented workflows that automate administrative tasks, asset cataloging, and automated transcription.
Define rigorous editorial and ethical guardrails for validating and refining AI-assisted outputs, ensuring all generative scripts, summaries, and visuals meet strict Yahoo editorial standards and brand safety requirements.
Partner directly with high-profile, on-air talent and creative leadership to sharpen their unique voices, design clear narrative arcs, and construct high-retention program rundowns.
Mentor and develop mid-level and senior creative producers and editors, actively multiplying the team's capabilities, facilitating workshops, and elevating the overall creative standards of the department.
Continuously experiment with emerging AI tools and platforms to identify and prototype novel format mechanics, maintaining a proactive focus on operational efficiency and creative innovation.
Drive format iterations, platform-specific adaptations, and viewer retention strategies in strict alignment with audience performance data, metadata analytics, and broader cultural trends.
Qualifications & Experience
10+ years producing premium digital video, video podcasts, or personality-led programming, with a documented portfolio of driving format innovation and scaling digital audiences.
Based in or near New York City, with the flexibility to work on-site in our collaborative studio environment.
Master-level creative storyteller with outstanding editorial taste, sharp artistic judgment, and a history of transforming complex topics into compelling, visual narratives.
Operationally expert—proven ability to manage multiple complex, multi-stakeholder productions simultaneously and consistently deliver excellence under pressure.
Deep fluency in digital distribution systems, platform algorithm dynamics, and multi-format packaging (long-form, social, newsletter integrations).
Demonstrated experience incorporating advanced generative AI tools (e.g., Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini) into professional creative and research workflows to accelerate output and enhance editorial complexity.
Strong commitment to continuous learning, technological experimentation, and responsible AI governance in an evolving, digital-first media landscape.
Deep focus on the intersection of business, tech, and cultural trends—and highly motivated to make financial storytelling feel accessible, smart, dynamic, and essential.
Exceptional collaborative leadership skills, with a track record of building consensus, mentoring creative professionals, and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
Advanced proficiency in modern creative software ecosystems (such as Adobe Premiere Pro) or a strong background in visual brand design is highly valued.

The compensation for this position ranges from $110,625.00 - $230,625.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
