Join Our Team as a Creative Marketing Director – Tampa, FL (Hybrid)

A crucial role in supporting our rapidly expanding group of urgent care veterinary hospitals spread across three time zones. Join a brand that is growing rapidly and is a pioneering leader in the vet industry. This position will oversee the creative vision of projects and brand campaigns across various media such as video, digital, print, advertising, and more The candidate will lead and inspire creative execution while utilizing designers, copywriters, photographers, and other specialists, to produce innovative and cohesive visual and strategic content that aligns with brand goals. Role will also include participation in strategic execution of innovative media plans to ensure brand awareness growth and advertising effectiveness under direction of VP of Marketing and in partnership with advertising agency of record.

Key Responsibilities

Candidates should have a strong background in brand design element creation and production oversight to include video, digital, social media and traditional print. Experience with graphic design creation, video production/editing and copywriting is desired. Additional experience with media ad plans and placement is a plus. A portion of the role will require creative execution work along with team and project management. This leadership role will supervise part of the marketing team and report directly to the Vice President of Marketing.

The position will have daytime working hours, offering accessibility to the marketing team and marketing agency, stakeholders, and scheduled calls with vendors, departments, and committees. While this role primarily focuses on daytime work, some occasional after-hours support for hospitals is required. This role also assists in the supervision of the marketing team utilizing their assistance when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Advertising and Brand Strategy
  2. Collaborate with VP of Marketing and Digital Agency on brand strategy.
  3. Creative Production and Brand Development
  4. Build and execute industry leading brand expression to grow the UrgentVet brand.
  5. Leveraging experience, marketing team members and digital agency, lead, manage and develop advertising elements to support the expression of the brand.
  6. Copywriting
  7. Ensure the brand expression is supportive of marketing strategy and represents the brand in an engaging way to target consumers.
  8. Quality Assurance and Content Creation
  9. Ensure quality assurance on all design elements.
  10. Engage in graphic design creation, copywriting projects.
  11. Write press releases announcing new markets. Publish & promote.
  12. Media Placement and Strategy
  13. Partner with ad agency and VP of marketing on effective advertising placement and plans.
  14. Oversight and Development:
  15. Oversee creative production and delivery of brand materials.
  16. Oversee established projects and processes.
  17. Contribute to the development of new processes and procedures.
  18. Determine best practice and procedures for asset library usage and storage.
  19. Best Practices and Education:
  20. Help establish and implement best practices in marketing.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in marketing/communications preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in a similar role for an organization with multiple locations.
  • Deep expertise in brand storytelling and omnichannel consumer engagement.
  • Experience leading and executing brand campaigns.
  • Design experience across multiple mediums to include digital, print, video.
  • Familiarity with various digital content management platforms for social media and reviews CRM.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and software systems.
  • Understanding of email marketing creative.
  • Copywriting abilities for bios, blogs, email messaging, captions, contests, posts, talking points, news updates, and press releases.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to guide projects from conception to completion.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, including grammar, spelling, flow, tone of voice, and tense.
  • Willingness and comfort presenting ideas and updates on calls with more than twenty-five participants.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, attend events, visit hospitals, and be available for occasional after-hour needs.
