RUN Studios, and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking a Creative Director to join for an approximate 3–6-month project!
RUN Studios is seeking a Creative Director with an emphasis on copywriting to lead the development and execution of high-impact, co-branded campaigns from initial brief through launch. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on creative leadership, overseeing video-first and integrated 360 campaigns across digital platforms. The Creative Director partners closely with senior creative leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver bold, customer-focused work while maintaining a high creative bar in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Candidates must be able to be on-site 5 days a week in Santa Monica, CA.
As a Creative Director, You Will
Partner with senior creative leadership to align on campaign vision, strategy, and creative direction from pitch through execution.
Lead concept development and oversee execution for video-first and integrated campaigns while working within production and IP constraints.
Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Copywriters, Producers, and cross-functional partners to develop compelling, customer-focused creative solutions.
Write and oversee persuasive copy and messaging that flexes across multiple digital platforms and placements.
Develop, review, and refine video scripts across a range of formats, including short-form video, long-form content, and digital landing experiences.
Own the creative relationship for assigned accounts, presenting concepts and creative solutions to internal stakeholders, clients, and agency partners.
Provide clear visual and conceptual feedback to elevate the overall quality, consistency, and impact of creative output.
Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining creative excellence, meeting tight deadlines, and adapting to shifting priorities.
Contribute to the refinement and documentation of creative and writing processes to improve efficiency and creative quality.
Ensure all deliverables align with brand objectives, campaign goals, and high standards of craft.
As an Applicant, You Bring
8+ years of experience in creative direction, copywriting, or integrated campaign leadership within agency, studio, or brand environments.
Proven experience leading video-first and integrated 360 campaigns from concept through launch.
Exceptional copywriting and storytelling skills across a variety of formats and platforms.
Strong visual sensibility with the ability to provide elevated, actionable art and design feedback.
Experience presenting creative concepts to clients and senior stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
Experience in entertainment, media, or co-branded campaign environments strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field preferred.

Compensation
Pay Range: $60.00 - $68.50(Hourly)
The successful candidate’s pay will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.

QualificationsAs an Applicant, You Bring
8+ years of experience with a focus on cross-channel campaigns and brand design at an in-house team or agency.
An exceptional design portfolio demonstrating your passion for marketing, design, and campaigns, with strong concept-led work showcasing an ability to distill complex stories through simplicity.
Expert knowledge and execution of typography, layout, color theory and brand system implementation for both digital and print.
Experience maintaining high quality creative with strong attention to detail.
Experience operating in a fast-paced, iterative environment, readily adapting to continually changing priorities, nuanced feedback, and tight deadlines.
Strong presentation skills with backbone to stand by your design choices to managers and leaders while remaining flexible to pivoting around dynamic needs.
Mastery in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and other digital tools.
Experience in responsive UX/UI design and front-end development workflows.
