We are looking for a visionary Creative Director to lead our production and creative team and drive the development of innovative and impactful content. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creative direction, production, content creation, and brand strategy, with a passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of the Ethiopian market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire the creative team to produce high-quality content that aligns with Shega’s brand and mission.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive content and multimedia strategy that supports our business goals and engages our target audience.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of Shega’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all platforms, content types, and materials.
• Conceptualize and execute creative campaigns—across video, digital, and social media platforms—that drive engagement and promote our products and services.
• Lead the ideation, storyboarding, scripting, and execution of multimedia content including animation, motion graphics, edited video content, podcasts, and presentations.
• Oversee all stages of multimedia production—from concept development to final delivery—ensuring visual and audio quality meet Shega’s standards.
• Direct the creation of original animation and motion graphics content for social media, campaigns, explainer videos, and branded storytelling.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the creative team (designers, editors, animators), fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
• Develop and oversee compelling scripts and narratives that resonate with our audience and effectively communicate key messages.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams—media, marketing, product development, data/insights—to align messaging and visuals across touchpoints.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and tools to continuously enhance the creative process and outputs.
• Implement and maintain robust internal quality control processes to ensure all content aligns with Shega’s brand voice, standards, and objectives.
• Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget, quality benchmarks, and client expectations.
• Ensure strategic and cohesive visual storytelling that reflects Shega’s mission across all media and platforms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in creative direction, content creation, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects.
• Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., FIGMA, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts.
• Ability to think strategically and creatively.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
