Job Description

We're hiring on behalf of a leading hospitality group known for building some of the regions most-loved dining concepts- From lifestyle-focused cafés to high-energy dining spots, each concept is designed to spark community, loyalty, and culture.

They're looking for a Creative Director to join their team in Dubai, UAE.

Position Purpose:

Formulates concepts and executes layout designs for artwork and copy to be presented by visual communications media such as magazines, books, newspapers, television, posters and packaging.

Essential Functions:

-Develops concepts and collaborates with Graphic Designers and Photographers to produce a very high quality of design.

-Assists with monitoring all assigned production and follows through all phases of production.

-Delivers presentations to team and/or senior creative personnel.

-Assists with monitoring budgets and timeframes in conjunction with production personnel.

-Help plan and execute art, design and other visual elements for creative including, but not limited to: magazines, circulars, advertisements, direct mail, marketing materials, tradeshow booths, etc.

-Manage the design, photography and production of client assigned work.

-Ability to collaborate well as a part of a concept team and be heavily responsible for developing and executing creative concepts that are dynamic and engaging.

-Outstanding organization and communication skills are a must. Ability to communicate vision and concepts to both internal and external audiences.

-Ability to supervise and coordinate with freelancers, copywriters, editors, illustrators, photographers, designers and videographers.

Requirements:

-Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

-Ability to write reports and correspondence.

-Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the

organization.

-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

-Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

-MS Office, word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Database software, Macintosh software, Quark, PhotoShop and Illustrator or Freehand.

-Basic drawing skills

-Candidate must be based in the UAE or ready to relocate to the UAE.

Education: 

-Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field

Experience:

- 8-9 years of related work experience, experience within the hospitality sector is a plus.

-Basic understanding of printing process, photography, illustration, typography, editing, transfer and shooting of commercials preferred.
