Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have a 6 months contract opportunity for a Creative Designer. This role is based out of our office in: Richmond Street, Toronto.
Here’s where you’ll have an impact:
• Responsible for producing visually compelling and innovative designs that effectively communicate the brand’s message and support marketing objectives. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop creative solutions for a wide range of projects, including digital, print, and multimedia formats.
• The Creative Designer will use their artistic skills and design expertise to create engaging and impactful visual content.
• Develop high-quality visual designs for various platforms, including websites, social media, email campaigns, advertisements, brochures, and other marketing materials.
• Collaborate with the creative team and stakeholders to brainstorm and refine design concepts that align with project goals and brand guidelines.
• Ensure that all designs adhere to brand standards and maintain a consistent look and feel across all media and communication channels.
• Manage design projects from initial concept through final execution, ensuring that deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
• Work closely with copywriters, marketers, and other team members to integrate design elements with content and achieve cohesive and effective marketing solutions.
• Accept and incorporate feedback from team members, clients, or stakeholders to refine and improve design work.
• Stay updated on design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices. Incorporate new ideas and techniques to keep designs fresh and innovative.
• Prepare and deliver final design files in various formats, ensuring they are optimized for print and digital use.

What you bring to the table:
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Fine Arts, or a related field. Additional certifications or training in design-related areas are a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in graphic design or a related role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects across different mediums.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools. Familiarity with web design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma) and video editing software is a plus. Experience working with AI is also a plus.
