Job Description

Create work that customers see every day across some of Australia's most recognised brands.

We're looking for a talented mid-weight Creative Designer to join our Marketing team on a 12-month contract and help bring our brands, campaigns and products to life through engaging visual design.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to see their work delivered across real-world channels, from digital campaigns and eCommerce experiences to retail assets, print collateral and product packaging.

About Us

ASSA ABLOY is the global leader in access solutions, trusted in over 70 countries to deliver smart, secure and seamless experiences. In Australia, our iconic brands — including Lockwood, Yale, Whitco and ABLOY — are trusted across homes, businesses and public spaces.

From advanced digital locking solutions to high-performance door and window hardware, our locally manufactured and globally backed products set the benchmark for innovation, reliability and performance.

About the Role

As Creative Designer, you'll play an important role in helping our business deliver consistent, high-quality brand experiences across multiple touchpoints.

Working closely with marketing, eCommerce, product and sales teams, you'll transform ideas and campaign briefs into compelling visual communications that support product launches, promotions, brand initiatives and commercial objectives.

You'll also take ownership of a significant packaging update program across multiple brands, ensuring assets are delivered on time, aligned to brand standards and ready for production.

Beyond creating great design, you'll help strengthen our internal creative capability, influence how our brands are represented in market, and support the delivery of high-impact work across the business.

What You'll Be Responsible For

You'll work across a diverse range of creative projects while balancing quality, brand consistency and commercial outcomes.

  • Lead packaging update projects across multiple brands from concept through to final production.
  • Create engaging design assets across digital marketing, social media, eCommerce, print and retail channels.
  • Develop creative concepts that support campaigns, product launches and promotional activity.
  • Translate stakeholder briefs into effective visual solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Adapt artwork and creative assets for different audiences, formats and platforms.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, sales and eCommerce teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Prepare production-ready artwork for digital and print applications.
  • Contribute creative ideas and visual storytelling approaches that elevate our brands.

About You

You're a designer who combines creativity with commercial awareness and enjoys delivering work that drives real business outcomes.

You take ownership of your projects, manage competing priorities well, and maintain a strong eye for detail even when timelines are tight. You're equally comfortable working independently and collaborating with a range of stakeholders to bring ideas to life.

You'll enjoy working in an environment where you can have a genuine influence on brand expression, contribute new ideas and see your work come to life across multiple customer-facing channels.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience as a Creative Designer or Graphic Designer in an agency or in-house environment.
  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite capability, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Proven experience creating work across both digital and print channels.
  • Strong understanding of branding, typography, layout and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to interpret briefs and translate them into compelling creative outcomes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with motion graphics, video editing or After Effects will be advantageous.

Why Join Us

Join a global organisation where your creative work will have visible impact across some of Australia's most trusted brands.

  • Work with Australia's most recognised security and access solution brands: Lockwood, Yale, Whitco and ABLOY.
  • Be part of a global leader operating in more than 70 countries.
