THE OPPORTUNITY:

Working collaboratively with our customers and 70+ artists makes us happy. We strive to continually stay on-trend, creating over 200,000 new designs in the last 5 years and 26,000 design modifications yearly. Our techniques include: screenprint, embroidery, applique, heat press, and pretty much everything else under the Minnesota sun. Whew!

We're currently looking for a highly-organized, detail-driven, boots on the ground team member to support our Creative Directors and Line Artists in our continuing endeavor to Wow Our Customers with our on-trend, unique artwork.

This team member is responsible for helping to oversee our art programs, ensuring the process runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to our core value of Continuous Improvement.

This is an onsite position @ our HQ in Detroit Lakes, and travel will be required to contribute to our value of Continuous Improvement as this team member will assist in trade show booth merchandising at various times throughout the year. This is an onsite position based at our headquarters in Detroit Lakes, MN.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9a-5p

Pay: $45,000 - $50,000 per year

A Typical Day (job functions) | Boots on the ground + Proofing + Coordinating + Data Gathering + Communication Between Multiple Departments

  • Attend art reviews and work with artists on revisions
  • Assist in Coordinating Co-Brand Development and Art Approvals
  • Proof new line art and prepare to be set up in DM (Pricing, Colors, Placement and Sizing)
  • Facilitate any revisions on original line art that cannot go to production art
  • Assist in training new Line Artists or Freelance Artists on our art filing systems
  • Provide articles for weekly Rep Updates
  • Help in directing art pack coordinators on new art packs and revisions
  • Help coordinate the sample process for releases
  • Assist with press approvals on samples
  • Assist with gathering data for web releases and auto samples to communicate to Data Entry
  • Communicate with Data Entry, CS and Art Departments on daily workloads to help with routing of Line Artwork Work with all parties to help identify improvement opportunities in sample process
  • Assist in providing and proofing art content for catalogs, flyers, samples, etc...
  • Assist with merchandising and maintenance of showrooms
  • Attend trade shows to assist with booth merchandising
  • Attend all scheduled meetings
  • Prioritize daily workload based on due dates
  • Other responsibilities as directed (contributing to our core value of TEAM)

  • Ability to work well within a team and coordinate amongst various departments

  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • 2 or 4 year Graphics Design degree or Art-related degree preferred
  • Illustrating background and experience with Illustrator and Photoshop or similar programs preferred, to help in the understanding of the creative process from A to Z

Our production floor includes 48 automatic screenprint presses, 32 multi-head embroidery machines, six 60-foot laser appliqué bridges, three sublimation presses, and a number of dogs running around the place.
