ABOUT THE ROLE

The Creative Assistant role is a full-time position that supports the daily operations of the Creative Department. We are seeking an extremely organized, detail-oriented, entrepreneurial Creative Assistant who will support the broader Creative team. The right candidate thrives in both administrative and creative environments, can multi-task, handle pressure, and maintain a positive, success-driven attitude.

This role blends high-level administrative support with hands-on creative execution. The ideal candidate has a strong artistic sensibility and enjoys both structure and creativity — someone who can keep the studio organized while actively contributing to visual display initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage day-to-day administrative operations of the Creative Department, including scheduling, travel, and organization
  • Maintain a clean and organized studio
  • Field, process, and track yardage requests or transfer orders for photoshoots and visual displays
  • Source and coordinate the procurement of props, materials, and fabrications required for photoshoots, trade shows, and events
  • On-site support with photoshoots
  • Work closely with the Sr. Display & Merchandise Manager on project schemes for lookbooks, showroom displays, trade shows, and events, by assisting with fabric selection and material sourcing
  • Assist in creating and installing window displays in showrooms, trade shows, and events
  • Maintain an organized and detailed library of props within the creative studio

Requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in an Administrative Assistant, Creative Assistant or similar role
  • Experience in interiors, design, fashion, or creative industries (preferred)

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Familiarity in Microsoft Office; familiarity with design programs (Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or similar 3D/rendering tools) a plus
  • Ability to learn internal systems such as Microsoft Dynamics Navision
  • Ability to work with multiple mediums-painting, sewing, building, etc

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional standing for extended periods during photoshoots, showroom installs, and events
  • Ability to work hands-on with materials and props during creative installations

Salary

$24 to $26 hourly

Samuel & Sons, in good faith, believes that this posted range of compensation is the accurate range for this role at this location at the time of this posting. Samuel & Sons may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
