An opportunity exists within the Department of Health for a suitably qualified and experienced Creative Arts Worker to be part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality health and well-being services to young people aged 12-24. The Pulse Youth Health Service is part of the Department of Women's and Children's Services within Hospitals South and is a supportive and cohesive team that is motivated to deliver excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
As a Creative Arts Worker, you will use creative arts and music to engage and empower young people aged 12 to 24 years, supporting their health and wellbeing through innovative programs and projects. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will develop and facilitate arts-based activities, foster community engagement, build individual capacity, and collaborate with schools, community organisations and with other stakeholders to deliver inclusive and youth-centred services. You will play a key role in creating safe, welcoming and creative environments that encourage participation, capacity building and positive outcomes for young people. Ideally the position is well suited to someone who holds skills in both music and creative arts. People who have completed a course in Art Therapy and/or hold a Degree within Allied Health are encouraged to apply.

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 45 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

$102,027 to $106,985 pro rata per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
