We are currently looking for an experienced Crane Operator to work onboard of a M/V in Guyana. Work Location: Suriname - Guyana Key Responsibilities Operate offshore cranes safely and efficiently during lifting operations. Conduct pre-use inspections of cranes and associated lifting equipment. Verify crane condition, alarms, safety devices and operational controls before commencing operations. Review and understand approved lifting plans and lifting procedures. Confirm the weight, dimensions and lifting requirements of loads before lifting. Maintain communication with the Banksman/Signalman and Rigger during lifting operations. Follow approved hand signals and radio communication procedures. Position loads accurately and safely. Perform cargo loading and unloading operations. Support supply vessel, platform supply and offshore logistics operations. Conduct lifting operations between vessels and offshore installations when authorized. Monitor weather, wind, sea state and other environmental conditions affecting lifting operations. Stop lifting operations whenever unsafe conditions are identified. Ensure that crane operations remain within the manufacturer's operating limits and applicable SWL. Report equipment defects, abnormal noises, alarms or malfunctions immediately. Complete crane operational and inspection logs. Assist with routine crane maintenance and housekeeping as required. Participate in toolbox talks, JSA/JHA and pre-job meetings. Comply with Permit to Work requirements. Participate in emergency response, drills and exercises. Maintain safe working distances from suspended loads. Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering lifting areas. Comply with company HSE, Quality and Environmental policies. Report incidents, near misses and unsafe acts/conditions. Perform other duties assigned by the Crane Supervisor or Offshore Management. Required Qualifications Recognized Offshore Crane Operator Certificate/Competency. Offshore medical fitness certificate. HUET (when required). STCW Basic Safety Training. Banksman/Slinger or Slinger/Signaller certification where required. Relevant crane operating experience. Valid Passport. Seaman's Book/Discharge Book Security Awareness/DSDC Evidence of relevant offshore/sea service experience. Experience 3–5 years of crane operating experience Previous offshore experience is strongly preferred. Experience in Oil & Gas / Marine is advantageous.
