Title: CPT-11417 E-Commerce Content & Catalog Virtual Assistant

Independent Contractor – CPT-11417 E-Commerce Content & Catalog Virtual Assistant/e-Commerce VA/Junior-Advanced Level (Remote).

20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

A lighting products company working with international manufacturing partners and U.S.-based customers is seeking an E-Commerce Content & Catalog Virtual Assistant to support its e-commerce department.
The VA will be responsible for maintaining accurate and professional online product information, including product descriptions, specifications, pricing, inventory information, images, and other catalog data. The position also supports digital asset management, website maintenance, product spreadsheets, and coordination with internal departments.
This is a detail-heavy e-commerce position requiring excellent data accuracy, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage large amounts of product information consistently. The ideal candidate has previous e-commerce, catalog management, product data, or similar experience and can operate independently after learning the client's systems and processes.

The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.

Scope of Services

Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:

Product Content & Catalog Management

  • Create, edit, and maintain product descriptions and specifications
  • Format and organize product information for websites and marketplace listings
  • Retrieve, verify, and enter product information into company systems
  • Update pricing, inventory status, promotional information, and other catalog data
  • Edit and maintain customer product submission spreadsheets
  • Follow up on missing product weights, dimensions, specifications, and other required information
  • Proofread product content for accuracy and consistency

Digital Asset Management

  • Request and coordinate product photography and digital assets
  • Work with the Graphics Department to obtain completed product images
  • Upload and organize product images, videos, and supporting digital assets
  • Ensure the correct assets are associated with corresponding products

Website & E-Commerce Support

  • Monitor company and vendor websites for accurate product information
  • Perform routine website and catalog audits
  • Identify broken links, outdated information, missing content, and other issues
  • Assist with maintaining an accurate, organized, and visually consistent online catalog

Administrative & Cross-Functional Support

  • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Graphics to gather required product information
  • Maintain organized spreadsheets, files, and product records
  • Assist with sales-related and departmental projects
  • Provide additional administrative support as assigned
  • Assist with basic company social media monitoring and posting as needed

Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.


Skills

The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements:

  • Previous e-commerce, product catalog, product data, sales support, or related experience strongly preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Experience with Acumatica is preferred but not required
  • Experience working with customer portals, particularly for managing and updating product or content information, preferred
  • Experience entering and maintaining detailed product information preferred
  • Strong written English and proofreading ability required
  • Excellent data-entry accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms or catalog management systems preferred
  • Manufacturing, wholesale, retail, lighting, or consumer product experience is a plus
  • Digital asset or product image management experience preferred
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate new software, systems, and customer portals
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

  • Microsoft Excel – Strong Proficiency Required
  • Acumatica – Experience Preferred, but not required; candidates with similar system experience may be considered

Work Schedule

  • Contracted Hours per Week: 40 hours per VA
  • Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday (unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing)
  • Daily Working Time: 9 AM - 5 PM CST

Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.

Terms of Engagement

  • Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work
  • This is not an offer of employment; contractors are not employees of 20four7VA or any client
  • All compensation is processed through 20four7VA according to the terms of the engagement
