As the CPS Redaction and Support Unit Supervisor, you will lead our efforts to respond to requests for client records, protecting privacy and confidentiality and ensuring we meet all legal mandates. We are looking for someone to be a working supervisor, overseeing the daily operation of responding to requests for CPS and In-Home Services (IHS) client records and support for case documentation. You will provide administrative, educational, and supportive supervision to a junior analyst and an administrative assistant to ensure the work is performed to standards. You also will work collaboratively with others such as assistant county attorneys, records staff, law enforcement, and other child welfare staff. You will serve as a primary subject matter expert for us on Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and privacy laws and on requirements for case documentation and court paperwork.
While the job is primarily Monday-Friday from 8:00 – 4:30, FOIA requires strict timeframes and there is often a need to be flexible to ensure those timeframes are met.

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in field related to the assigned functional area; Plus four years of professional work experience with in the functional area.
Valid driver’s license
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, child protective services check, credit check and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Ability to navigate through and make decisions in stressful and crisis situations. Ability to use automated technology. Must be able to operate motor vehicle. Sufficiently mobile to travel outside the office for client contact, court appearances, community events, and to conduct assessments and investigations of allegations of potential abuse and neglect. Work requires performing tasks with risks of secondary traumatic stress (STS). All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
