Job Description

SUMMARY

The CPQ Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Hobart Service's Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) processes, tools, and systems. This role partners with Sales, Contract Support, Pricing, Finance, Operations, and IT teams to ensure accurate product configuration, pricing execution, quote generation, and system performance.

The CPQ Analyst assists in the design and documentation of business requirements, configuration enhancements, pricing models, workflows, and reporting capabilities. This position plays a key role in supporting CPQ system implementations, testing, troubleshooting, user adoption, and ongoing process improvements. The CPQ Analyst helps drive operational efficiency, data integrity, pricing accuracy, and a streamlined quote-to-order experience across the organization.

  • Support the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of CPQ systems and related commercial tools.
  • Assist with the configuration of products, services, pricing structures, approval workflows, and business rules within the CPQ platform.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document functional specifications, and support solution design.
  • Analyze quote and pricing data to identify trends, process improvement opportunities, and potential system enhancements.
  • Support testing, validation, and deployment of system enhancements, product updates, and pricing changes.
  • Troubleshoot quote, pricing, configuration, and workflow issues and collaborate with IT and business teams to resolve them.
  • Maintain documentation related to CPQ processes, configurations, pricing logic, user procedures, and system changes.
  • Create and distribute reports and dashboards that support commercial performance and operational decision-making.
  • Support training and user adoption efforts by developing job aids, process documentation, and end-user guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with established pricing policies, approval processes, and governance standards.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects supporting sales effectiveness, digital transformation, and commercial process optimization.
  • Provide post-implementation support and assist with ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Analytics, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience supporting CPQ, pricing, sales operations, business analysis, commercial operations, or related functions.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with CPQ platforms, CRM systems, ERP systems, or sales enablement technologies.
  • Knowledge of product configuration, pricing strategies, quote management, and commercial processes.
  • Experience documenting business requirements and supporting system implementations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using Excel, Power BI, D365, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional business and technology initiatives.
  • Industrial service, manufacturing, or commercial equipment industry experience preferred.
