Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required. 2 years of experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Position PurposeUnder general supervision, perform engineering work related to configuring, deploying, maintaining, and upgrading CAD and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications and processes. Assist in the development and deployment of systems, methodologies, standards and processes that result in the ability to create and manage high fidelity digital data for Gulfstream products. Help to ensure PLM systems integrity and manage all product configuration data and information throughout the products lifecycle. Assist in the development of courses for CAD and PLM Applications.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
  1. Provide technical assistance to CAD and PLM systems specialists to recognize discrepancies and/or problems with analysis, process mapping or system implementation results and works toward corrective action .
  2. Work with personnel to understand, define and document engineering and product data requirements .
  3. Perform process mapping using Gulfstream standard modeling methodologies .
  4. Actively works to improve daily processes, to ensure all CAD and PLM systems meet customer requirements .
  5. Maintain the security of data access and privileges in CAD and PLM Applications .
  6. Develop system queries and utilities to support users information researches .
  7. Monitor and report business and system status metrics to various departmental supervision .
  8. Support tailoring of all system functionality, to established requirements, policies and procedures .
  9. Provide training on new functionalities and upgrades .
  10. Assist in the testing and implementation of new deployment or revisions to the CAD and PLM systems .
  11. Execute tasks for coordinating the release of product definition data, change management and product configuration management, including quality control and change reporting .
  12. Analyze and evaluate results of project activities before preparing recommendations for changes and compilation of necessary reports to various departmental supervision .
  13. Actively work to improve daily processes and ensure all work meets customer requirements.
Additional Functions:
  1. May be the first point of contact for database system(s) operational problems and issues .
  2. Maintain a continuous and open line of communications with all system users .
  3. Support appropriate data input and output requests .
  4. Software issue monitoring and tracking using a database .
  5. Maintain a current and up-to-date knowledge of developments in a specific discipline and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve the quality, economy, and effectiveness of the company product .
  6. Perform other duties as assigned. .

  1. A minimum of 2 years of experience with CAD and PDM tools (e.g.CATIA, AutoCAD, SmarTeam) preferred.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of experience with digital pre-assembly of product components preferred.
  3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in process mapping and other process improvement techniques preferred.
  4. Proven computer literacy that includes PC Windows environment with specific skills in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and MS Project.
  5. General understanding of databases.
  6. Must have strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and a general understanding of engineering/manufacturing data requirements and design tools.
