Aldar Education is currently seeking outstanding Cover Teachers to join our schools across Abu Dhabi for Academic Year 2026/2027. This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful Aldar family.

We are seeking adaptable, passionate, and dedicated educators who can provide high-quality teaching and learning during periods of staff absence, including maternity leave, long-term sick leave, and other short-term or fixed-term cover requirements across our schools.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong classroom management skills, a commitment to student progress, and the ability to quickly establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. They will be able to adapt seamlessly to different school environments while ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Main Duties

• Provide high-quality classroom cover for teachers on maternity leave, long-term sick leave, and other planned or unplanned staff absences.
• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and teaching standards.
• Ensure continuity of learning by following existing schemes of work, lesson plans, and school expectations.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes student achievement and wellbeing.
• Adapt lessons and teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners, including Students of Determination, EAL learners, and gifted and talented students.
• Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback in line with school expectations.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and implement the school's behaviour management policies consistently.
• Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to support student success.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, middle leaders, and senior leaders to ensure effective teaching and learning.
• Uphold all safeguarding, health and safety, and child protection policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records relating to attendance, achievement, and student progress as required.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events as appropriate.
• Support the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and community engagement where required.
• Adapt quickly and professionally to different year groups, subjects, campuses, and school environments as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject with PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Teaching qualification meeting ADEK requirements.

Minimum Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience.
• Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum is preferred.
• Experience within an international school environment is desirable.
