Job Description

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing exceptional member service
• Operating and maintaining equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Timely completion of all department tasks
• Assisting members and customers with carrying out grocery items in a safe, courteous manner
• Delivering exceptional customer service
• Performing housekeeping duties when required
• Wearing all personal protective equipment as per Evergreen Co-op policies
• Adhering to all Evergreen Co-op safety policies and procedures
• Being comfortable with working indoors and outdoors, and changing environments frequently
• All other duties as assigned
• This position requires a significant amount of standing, walking, lifting, bending, and twisting

We are ideally seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Previous retail experience with knowledge of grocery/food products is an asset
• Self motivated, reliable, responsible, friendly and hard working
• Ability to handle multiple demands at once while still providing excellent customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to cooperative values and principles
• Possesses a sense of urgency, and customer first attitude
• Ability to be physically active with lifting up to 50 lbs is required, as well as, a good portion of the day doing static positions
