Summary

Plans, organizes, and manages the activities of Court staff ensuring that employees have the tools and direction needed to perform the critical functions of the Court. Administers, supervises, coordinates, and provides leadership to a work unit and ensures appropriate use of resources. Provides administrative and technical supervision for effective court processes with no gap in services. This position is reliant on computers and technology as the court is fileless and does not maintain paper files. May serve on all four operational teams (Public Service, Financial Services, Court Support and Courtroom Operations) during tenure with the court.

Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $95,368 annually.

Examples of duties

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree in Judicial Administration, Business or Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field from an accredited educational institution.
  • Three years’ experience in a court, criminal justice, or judicial environment.
  • Must have at least three years of Supervisory experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.

Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements

  • Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
  • Complete the Scottsdale University computer Supervisor Training within the probationary period along with the triennial revision requirement.
  • Complete the Arizona Court Manager (ACM) certification within 4 years of the date of hire date.

Other pertinent licenses and/or certifications may be required of some positions depending on division/department/service assignment.
