- This position is primarily responsible for case management in the Unified Family Court and County Civil divisions. Responsibilities include identifying relevant cases, tracking case progress, scheduling hearings, preparing draft orders, and assuring the timely and efficient resolution of cases. The position also provides information and procedural assistance to self-represented litigants in family and county civil cases, and involves working closely with judges, magistrates, and court staff. Other case management responsibilities may be assigned as needed. This position works under the general supervision of the Court Operations Director. This is an in-office position at 40 hours per week.

Functions, Responsibilities, Competencies - Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive matters with integrity and confidentiality. Detail oriented. The ability to work independently, be resourceful, multi-task, and prioritize tasks. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when assisting people who may be experiencing a high level of stress. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and operation of standard office equipment. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with judiciary and non-judiciary individuals and agencies.

Education and Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred. Legal or paralegal experience is preferred and may substitute for education requirement.
