The Linn County Circuit Court in Albany, Oregon, is hiring a Records Clerk (Court Operations Specialist) to join our team.
In this role, you will start new cases, enter data into our automated case tracking system, and process a variety of reports. You will review files to determine next steps and forward them to judges, supervisors, and administrative authorities. You will accept and record documents, checking them for accuracy and completeness. You will also process orders, judgments, decrees, and other legal documents.
You will help parties, attorneys, agencies, and the public use the court system by explaining policies and procedures. You will help customers use our public computer terminals. You will answer questions and correspondence related to the status of cases and the court calendar. You will also answer complex questions about case processing, dockets, and scheduling proceedings.
You will spend part of your time helping the domestic relations team by providing customer service at the counter and over the phone. You will also be a backup cashier.
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Four (4) years of responsible administrative experience in a moderately complex office or business setting demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the position.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to four (4) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
