The Peter Guo-hua Fu School of Architecture, McGill University invites applications for a Course Lecturer position for Fall 2026 term.

Course Lecturer for ARCH 512 Architectural Modelling. This course is directed at current B.Sc.(Arch.) – year U2 – students. The course focuses on practices, discourses, and technical systems involved in Building Information Modelling (BIM). The course consists of lectures, tutorials, and critical design projects. In the lectures, the instructor expands on the content of assigned readings and engages students in open-ended discussion questions. In the tutorials, the instructor collaborates with the Teaching Assistants to offer active learning exercises on theoretical, design, and technical aspects of topics presented in the lectures. In the critical design projects, the instructor guides and provides critical feedback to students as they synthesize theoretical and technical aspects of the course to respond to a design prompt. The critical design projects and technical tutorials use primarily Autodesk’s Revit® for BIM in Architecture.

Teaching Qualification Requirements: M.Arch. or advanced academic degree commensurate with the level of the course. Post-secondary teaching experience in architecture. Appropriate technical, critical, and theoretical expertise for the course.

Appointment is from August 31 to December 31, 2026.

Compensation $11,824, 3 credits.
