Job Description

Istituto Marangoni Dubai is seeking a full-time Course Coordinatorwithin the Interior Design area to join its academic team. The role contributes to teaching, student development, academic coordination, administration, and industry engagement across the BA and MA Interior Designprogrammesand related activities.

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD, have at least 3 years of teaching experience in an international higher education setting,possessUAE Ministry of Education qualification equivalency,have proven professional experience in the interior design industry, anddemonstratestrong academic, organizational, communication, and industry networking skills.

Key Purpose of the Role

To support the delivery and development of high-quality teaching within the Interior Design area, ensuring student progression, academic excellence, effective coordination across courses and tutors, and strong industry connectivity, in alignment with institutional and CAA standards. The role also requires strong familiarity with international industry standards and the ability to effectively transfer this knowledge to students through teaching, mentoring, and project-based learning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching and Academic Delivery

  • Deliverassigned subjects through a clear, student-centeredapproach, in compliance with CAA standards

  • Prepare teaching materials in line with Istituto Marangoni’s methodological guidelines and the direction ofProgram Leaders in MA and BAand theDirector of Education

  • Coordinate among Tutors,collectandmaintaincourse files and related academic documentation

  • Carry out coursecoordinationrequiredto support teaching, learning, and academic developmentin coordination with Program Leaders of MA and BA

  • Contribute to the academic and creative culture of theUniversitythrough lectures, projects, events, and cross-school initiatives

2. Student Academic Support

  • Support student learning progress andmonitoracademic development, student experience, and progression

  • Assess student progression through formative and summative assessment across the academic year

  • Encourage creativity, engagement, and problem-solving through group work, field trips, and industry-supported projectsin coordination with Program Leaders of MA and BA areas

  • Build andmaintaineffective working relationships with students, lecturers, staff, and academic leadership

3. Course and Project Coordination

  • Monitorsemester projects in alignment with MA and BA Program Leaders, ensuring cross-subject integration, academic coherence, and effective deliveryin accordance withdefined PLOs, CLOs, and overall program frameworks.

  • Supportthe Program Leaders of MA and BA todevelop and implement the semester framework across classes

  • Facilitate alignment betweenProgram Leaders MA and BAandtutorsteaching within shared project structuresin line with CLOs and PLOs

  • Support the coordination of industry projects, ensuring clarity of communication, expectations, and timelines

  • Maintainstrong communicationbetween tutor teams and theProgrammeLeaders of MA and BA areas

  • Contribute to the overall quality, consistency, and smooth operation of semester and industry-based projects

4. Industry Engagement

  • Supportengagement with relevant industries,organizations, and professional bodies

  • Contribute to supportopportunities for collaboration that strengthen theprogramand theUniversity

  • Support the development of projects and partnerships that connect academic delivery with professional practice

Educational and Professional Requirements

  • PhD in one or more of the areas of expertise listed above

  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in an international institution, at university level

  • Education qualification equivalency from the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates

  • Experience teaching students across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and across diverse cultural backgrounds

  • Industry experience in the Interior Design and Architecture field

  • Experience creating educational materials and extracurricular activities that support curriculum objectives

  • UAE residency preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and critical thinkingandproblem-solvingattitude

  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop professional networks within the Interior Design industry
