REPORTS TO: Chief Human Resources Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Courier role is to effectively, efficiently, and confidentially ensure delivery of work from HQ and other offices. In addition, the Courier keeps common areas (copy rooms, break rooms, and automobiles) in order and maintained, and handling small repair/maintenance items when requested. The Courier also handles all storage and destruction of items stored in the storage room and shred bins.

Essential Functions

  • Mail delivery and pick-up to Moorefield Post Office, Moorefield Division of Motor Vehicles, and UPS delivery to South Branch Inn.
  • Collect and distribute interoffice mail between HQ and Moorefield Bank buildings.
  • Receipt and appropriate delivery of Packages and Supplies.
  • Minor maintenance projects including changing light bulbs, chair repairs, lock and door latches, minor electrical items, plumbing issues, coin machines, and securing of shutters.
  • Clearing sidewalks of snow and debris and putting down ice melt when appropriate and placing “Caution” signs as appropriate. Manage and schedule snow removal helpers, as appropriate.
  • Process outgoing mail and deliver it to Post Office Monday through Friday.
  • Report inventory on various supplies and assist in ordering the supplies and put them away when the supplies arrived.
  • Other duties as assigned (especially for HR, board meetings, Marketing, Community Bank Managers, etc.)
  • Take company cars for service, and maintain records of regular maintenance
  • Some travel required outside of Moorefield area.

HQ Job Requirements:

  • Work with HR Office Assistant to keep all wareroom shredding up to date.
  • Complete specific clean-up and closing procedures for HQ building.
  • Manage the storage items at HQ.

Petersburg Job Requirements:

  • Collect and distribute interoffice mail between Petersburg and Moorefield locations as requested.

Relationships:

  • Works closely with Human Resources, but works with all departments circulating mail throughout the building.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting, the opportunity to telework is not available. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.

Physical Demands

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary. The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Travel

Travel may be required for this position.

Education and Experience

High school graduate. Must have driver’s license.
