This position is responsible for creating cleaner and healthier environments for our customer's building and grounds by performing the following duties and responsibilities. Duties include but not limited to:
* Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools and procedures.
*Sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, restroom cleaning, windows, dusting
*Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
*Use proper PPE where required
*Opens and locks facilities
Position Objective:
To participate in maintaining, improving and developing County Parks, the facilities and resources they contain. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to a variety of building maintenance and custodial duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
These examples do not include all possible responsibilities in this position and do not limit the assignment of related duties to this classification.
1. Position during the late Fall, Winter, and early Spring is 12-15 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with a daily flexible start time of 5-7 AM. Continuation and encouragement of employment is an option May-September at 40 hrs per week Monday-Friday
2. Utilization of a ServiceMaster company vehicle to travel to and from multiple parks in Douglas County.
3. Removal of trash and proper disposal
4. Performs custodial duties including but not limited to disinfecting, cleaning of restroom facilities, washing floors, walls, tables.
5. Attends work regularly and in a timely manner.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Qualifications:
*Constant (up to 100%) sitting, standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching
*Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 Ibs
*Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
*Experience as a custodian, janitor or housekeeper is a plus but not required
*Will provide on the job training to those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
*The ability to be flexible and work at a fast pace in a multi-tasked job is a must
*Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude
*Contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time
*Treat all co-workers and customers with courtesy and respect
*Must possess a valid Driver's License
Compensation: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
