The Role
This role will lead the further transformation of the Thailand marketing organization, ensuring alignment with the commercial model and the Solventum Way directions.
As the leader of the marketing organization for the MedSurg business in Thailand, key responsibilities include team development, crafting the country’s marketing strategies and plans, and activating programs to generate demand and accelerate growth. Key stakeholders will include Sales Leaders and their teams, Clinical Specialists, Medical Affairs, Commercial Excellence, Operations, and Area Portfolio Marketing Team. This position reports to the Country Business Leader MedSurg in Thailand and will have direct oversight of the country marketing team.
Role Accountabilities
Deliver Growth
• Actively contribute to the achievement of sales and marketing plans for the Thailand market and deliver on the business objectives and financial goals.
• Drive sustainable growth by reinvigorating the portfolio, moving from mature to higher value clinically differentiated products. Keep abreast of market and customer needs, identify portfolio opportunities, and devise strategies and programs to address these opportunities.
Marketing Transformation
• Lead the further transformation of the Thailand marketing organization in alignment with the commercial model and the Solventum Way directions.
• Build and elevate team competencies that are relevant to the growth platforms. These include but are not limited to, clinical/scientific marketing, market insights, bid and tender strategies, pricing strategies, channel marketing, and digital/eCommerce.
Product Commercialization
• Ensure compliance with local regulations for product portfolios and programs.
• Work with key functional teams (Regulatory Affairs, Commercial Excellence, Medical Affairs) to optimize market access.
• Drive new product launches by collaborating with key stakeholders to determine launch strategy, including market insights, go-to-market plan, pricing, awareness and demand generation.
• Voice of market, ideas, local needs for new products and participate on global NPI teams, as needed. Marketing Planning and Program Activation
• Lead the Thailand marketing planning, localize global marketing plans, and activate programs based on country needs and opportunities.
• Provide local market and competitive intelligence and input to the area and global teams for marketing planning and program development.
• Manage marketing budget ensuring effective program ROI.
Demand Generation
• Drive demand generation at the local layer. Define local integrated tactics, execute end-customer communication in alignment with campaign objectives and track outcomes.
• Enhance sales partnership and distributor engagement. Deliver programs, sales aids, and content to the sales team and distributors, and work in close alignment with them to engage customers.
• Foster strong collaboration with Medical Affairs to capture the value created from educational efforts, by ensuring proper customer nurturing and follow-up.
• Set up a rigorous end-to-end process for lead routing and qualification, utilizing the SMP framework and martech stack (SFDC, Eloqua).
• Grow the customer database, manage customer profiles and segments for effective campaign targeting.
• Utilize data (point-of-sales, CRM, campaign analytics) to identify growth opportunities, devise customer targeting strategies, optimize campaign performance and for marking informed decisions.
Channel Marketing
• Develop and implement online and offline channel marketing programs, promotions, and content syndication, working hand-in-hand with Sales and distributors to deliver programs to end customers.
Product and Pricing Management
• Oversee the management of product life cycle (phase in/out), in-country product inventory, and demand forecasting. Provide input into the IBP process.
• Be responsible for the division price and margin management, in accordance with the global pricing corridor guidance, price-value positioning, and market conditions.
People Management
• Create a conducive environment for remote team management, collaboration, and support.
• Coach and develop the marketing talents. Upskill and reskill marketers by leveraging the corporate marketing learning resources.
• Support corporate change management initiatives.
Organization/Scope
• Manage a team of about 6
Qualifications and Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of marketing experience in the healthcare industry, including more than 5 years of management and leadership experience.
• Experienced in leading and managing a team, particularly in remote work settings.
• Strong commercial focus, able to adapt global strategies to local market needs, operationalize and drive results.
• Independent, resourceful, able to influence and work collaboratively in a matrix organization.
• Change agent, able to deal confidently with ambiguity, motivate people through transformation, and mobilize teams to action.
• Digital marketing experience will be advantageous.
• Hands-on, attention on detail, ability to multi-task
• Strong communication skills in Thailand and English, both written and spoken Education/Location:
• Degree, preferably Masters, in Marketing or Business-related disciplines
• Location in Bangkok, Thailand
