Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Country HEMAR (Health Economics & Market Access) Manager – J&J Denmark

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an experienced Country HEMAR (Health Economics & Market Access) Manager to join our Danish Market Access & Public Affairs team. This role is designed for a professional with hands-on market access experience from the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, fluency in Danish, and a strong understanding of the Danish healthcare system and its key access stakeholders.

About the Role

Market Access at Johnson & Johnson sits at the intersection of scientific innovation, healthcare policy, and patient outcomes. In this role, you will shape and execute evidence-based strategies that enable timely and equitable access to innovative therapies in Denmark.

As Danish HEMAR Manager, you will take significant ownership across the product lifecycle - contributing to payer value propositions, reimbursement submissions, pricing and tender support, and stakeholder engagement. You will translate clinical, economic, and policy evidence into clear and credible value messages tailored to Danish decision makers, and collaborate closely with colleagues across Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, and Public Affairs to ensure a coordinated and scientifically robust approach to market access.

At Johnson & Johnson, we invest in developing talent. You will work alongside experienced specialists, gain broad cross-functional exposure, and have opportunities to grow within HEMAR and the wider global organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as an analytically driven and collaborative contributor within one or more therapeutic area cross-functional teams

  • Develop and adapt Danish market access plans aligned with regional strategy, national payer requirements, and evolving health policy trends

  • Support pricing, reimbursement, tender, and contracting processes through robust evidence generation and structured business case development

  • Translate clinical and economic evidence into clear, persuasive payer value messages tailored to decision makers

  • Prepare reimbursement dossiers (e.g., Danish Medicines Council / Danish Medicines Agency), negotiation materials, and supporting documentation based on sound methodological principles

  • Conduct structured stakeholder mapping to identify access opportunities and inform engagement strategies

  • Assess and articulate access priorities in relation to product lifecycle dynamics, competitive landscape, and external policy developments

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and best-practice sharing across therapeutic areas and Nordic/European colleagues

  • Partner with account teams to operationalize access initiatives at customer level

  • Engage external stakeholders to promote understanding of system-level access challenges and co-develop constructive, evidence-based solutions

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., health economics, pharmacy, public health, economics, business administration, or similar)

  • Hands-on experience in Market Access within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry (e.g., pharma, biotech, market access consultancy, or HTA-facing industry role)

  • Demonstrated experience working with Danish market access processes, including reimbursement, pricing, tendering, and/or HTA interactions

  • Solid knowledge of key Danish healthcare and market access stakeholders, such as the Danish Medicines Council, Amgros, regions, payers, and relevant policy bodies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Fluent Danish is required, with high proficiency in spoken and written English

Essential Competencies

  • Ability to think creatively and beyond conventional frameworks to identify novel access pathways and strategic solutions

  • Strong networking and collaboration skills in both internal and external stakeholder environments

  • Demonstrated analytical capability and ability to integrate clinical, economic, and policy evidence

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and structured

  • Ability to build trust-based relationships and engage constructively with diverse stakeholder groups

  • Proactive, self-directed working style with strong motivation to achieve results

  • Strategic mindset combined with strong attention to detail
