About the Role
Our client is seeking an exceptional and commercially driven Country Manager & Chief Commercial Officer to lead its Nigerian operations and drive sustainable business growth across the telecommunications and digital infrastructure sector.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for the company's commercial performance, business expansion, and operational excellence while building strategic partnerships, growing enterprise revenues, and positioning the organization as a leading provider of enterprise connectivity, cloud infrastructure, managed services, cybersecurity, and digital transformation solutions.
This role requires a visionary executive with extensive experience within Nigeria's telecommunications, enterprise ICT, cloud, managed services, and digital infrastructure ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the overall business strategy for the Nigerian business.
Drive sustainable revenue growth and long-term profitability.
Develop annual business plans, commercial strategies, and market expansion initiatives.
Provide executive leadership across all commercial functions.
Represent the organization at executive, industry, government, and investor engagements.
Identify emerging market opportunities and technology trends.
Lead digital transformation and innovation initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:
Own annual revenue and profitability targets.
Drive recurring revenue growth.
Develop pricing and go-to-market strategies.
Lead high-value commercial negotiations.
Expand enterprise customer portfolios.
Increase customer lifetime value and account profitability.
Enterprise Sales Leadership
Lead all enterprise and corporate sales activities.
Build and manage a high-performing commercial organization.
Develop scalable sales strategies across multiple industry verticals.
Establish sales KPIs, forecasting models, and performance dashboards.
Drive acquisition of large enterprise accounts.
Oversee sales pipeline development and forecasting.
Ensure consistent achievement of annual commercial targets.
Improve sales conversion rates and win ratios.

Develop and manage executive-level relationships with:
Mobile Network Operators (MNOs)

Leadership & People Management
Recruit, develop, and mentor high-performing commercial teams.

Build leadership capability across the organization.
Promote collaboration and employee engagement.
Corporate Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all applicable telecommunications regulations, corporate governance requirements, and statutory obligations.
Maintain high ethical and professional standards.
Manage commercial risks and regulatory compliance.
Ensure adherence to internal policies and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Economics, or a related discipline.
MBA or relevant Master's degree is highly preferred.
Professional certifications in Sales, Business Management, Project Management, or Telecommunications will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate must possess:
Minimum of 17 years progressive commercial leadership experience.
Extensive experience within the telecommunications, enterprise ICT, cloud, managed services, or digital infrastructure industry.
Proven experience leading large commercial teams.
Demonstrated success in driving multimillion-naira enterprise sales.
Strong experience managing strategic customer accounts.
Proven track record of closing high-value enterprise contracts.
Existing executive relationships across Nigeria's telecommunications and technology ecosystem.
