We are looking for a Country Lead - Hungary to join our team in our Budapest office.

As Country Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all business operations, ensuring alignment with corporate values, regional objectives, and local regulatory requirements. This role is critical to driving the commercial strategy, identifying and executing growth opportunities, managing key stakeholder relationships, and fostering a high-performance culture. The successful candidate will lead and develop a talented team while delivering ambitious business growth, operational excellence, and financial performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Financial Performance: Lead the delivery of EBIT targets by driving sales revenue, managing expenses, and ensuring profitability, working capital and cash flow performance.

• Strategic Development: Develop and execute country-specific business strategies in collaboration with regional stakeholders and following the Company’s goals and guidelines to achieve long-term commercial success.

• Team Leadership: Build and nurture a high-performing, motivated team by setting clear goals, coaching talent, and promoting succession planning.

• Market Adaptation: Identify market opportunities, manage key accounts, and implement distribution strategies that adapt to changing industry dynamics.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with customers, regulatory bodies, industry partners, and research institutions to support growth and innovation efforts.

• Compliance and Alignment: Ensure all operations align with FMC values, internal policies, and national laws and regulations.

Professional Profile

• University degree in Agriculture, Life Sciences, Business, or related field; MBA preferred

• Proven country management or general management experience, ideally within crop protection, agriculture, or life sciences

• Strong P&L leadership and consistent delivery of profitable growth

• Strategic, decisive leader with strong commercial judgment and execution capability

• Highly credible people leader with excellent stakeholder and communication skills

• Fluent in Hungarian and English
