Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute country-level HR strategies aligned with global and regional objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy.
  • Lead HR transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and employee experience.
  • Manages and coordinates the activities of staff including training, employee development, performance evaluation, hiring decisions, and the establishing of goals and performance objectives for assigned department.
  • Provide continual evaluation of departmental processes, methods, and activities to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
  • Manage budget and expenditures.
  • Implements and coordinates policies and programs covering several of the following areas: recruiting, compensation and on-boarding, training, and employee / labour relations.
  • Provides HR consulting expertise to management and employees.
  • Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of issues and resolves through a systematic and analytical approach.
  • Assures compliance with all applicable laws and corporate policies/guidelines and identifies opportunities to develop and implement new and improved practices/guidelines to achieve business goals.
  • Assists in establishing policies and procedures including disciplinary policies and monitor their application to ensure fairness consistency.
  • Advises, reviews and approves any disciplinary and discharge issues and concerns
  • Provide guidance to managers with regard to salary administration, recruitment, selection, etc.
  • Resolves internal employee complaints.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives where applicable.
  • Act as the primary HR liaison with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and external partners.
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory reports and compliance documentation.
  • Represent the organization in external HR forums or industry groups.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum 8–12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or country-level role.

Skills, training or special knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in multinational or matrix organizations preferred.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Understanding of Company Quality
  • Understanding of Risk Assessment principles.
  • Computer skills

    - Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
  • Excellent communication skills
