Job Description

Standard Air & Lite is seeking an experienced HVAC Counter Sales Representative.
Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service
• Meets and greets customers at the point of sale with service, respect, and knowledge.
• Collects customer’s information for account maintenance using company-provided systems.
• Prepares and stages orders for customer will call.
• Contacts customers regarding arrivals of items on order/backorder.
• Provides prompt and courteous service for all customers and potential customers of the branch.
• Actively engages in ongoing customer service training and skill development.

2. Sales Operations
• Processes requests for quotes and orders including web orders without error via phone, text, and or e-mail.
• Initiates and expedites RC direct parts orders for quicker availability.
• Initiates Return Material Authorizations.
• Reviews open orders, open quotes, and open RMA reports.
• Prepares shipments of UPS/FedEx and ltl including bill of ladings.
• Effectively communicates features and benefits of HVAC products and actively promotes our products.
• Prepares paperwork for non-Carrier parts warranty submissions.
• Reviews and submits SCA warranty forms for Carrier parts.
• Inspects Freight Damage claims by customer prior to submission to product manager.

3. Warehouse Operations
• Maintains a neat counter area, replenishes stock on store shelves and updated showroom displays.
• Maintains accurate bin maintenance.
• Supports outside sales and product managers.
• Participates in after-hours rotation.
• Follows and adheres to all safety, health, security, and environmental standards.

• Responsible for keeping necessary skill sets updated and proficient.
• Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, professionalism, time management, confidentiality, and good decision-making skills.
• Frequent internal and external contact concerning routine matters.
• Maintains positive working relationships with all employees, management, and customers.

Qualifications:
• This position requires a minimum of a high school or equivalent level of formal education.
• Five years of experience with excellence in customer service in the service industry.
• Experience in HVAC industry is desirable. Knowledge of HVAC systems is helpful but not required.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and work independently and keep essential information confidential. Result-driven and customer-focused.
Skills:
• Must have computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
• Knowledge and experience in Epicor P21 or similar distribution ERPs is a plus.
• Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills including phone, text, and e-mail.
• Must have strong problem solving, negotiating, and analytical skills with attention to a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
