The Ideal Candidate

• Proven butchery skills gained in a retail or manufacturing environment — hands-on experience in the trade is essential for this role.
• Good knowledge of food safety and legal requirements.
• Previous experience supervising or supporting others in a butchery or food production setting would be a distinct advantage.
• Strong customer service skills with a drive to achieve sales targets.
• Able to motivate and guide a team on a daily basis.
• IT literate with strong communication skills and the ability to work confidently on own initiative.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers, sharing your product knowledge and helping them get the most from their purchase.
• Prepare and maintain the counter and pre-pack areas to the highest hygiene standards.
• Prepare a range of cuts to customer and company specification.
• Carry out stock rotation, price reductions and product sampling.
• Receive deliveries and complete the required paperwork.
• Distribute special offer materials and support general store operations.
• Support the management team and contribute to the training and development of colleagues.
