Counter Sales Representative

Arnold Lumber Company is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join our team. This is more than a counter position.

You will work with contractors, homeowners, suppliers, and teammates to solve problems, recommend solutions, and keep projects moving forward. As your product knowledge and sales capabilities grow, you may have opportunities to pursue expanded sales responsibilities and future career paths at Arnold Lumber.

What You Will Do

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products
• Enter orders, process transactions, and prepare quotes
• Assist with telephone sales and walk-in customers
• Check product availability using our point-of-sale system
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Support inventory accuracy through stocking and cycle counts
• Maintain an organized, safe, and customer-ready sales area
• Learn procedures for returns, deliveries, invoicing, receiving, transfers, and special orders

Qualifications: Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Customer service, retail, or sales experience preferred
• Building-materials experience is helpful, but not required
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
