Job Description
Valiant is looking for a Counter Fire Specialist to join our team!
ESSENTAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive record and execute all Counter-Fire mission data using graphic user interfaces (GUIs) on a “Windows” based computer system.
- Act as the interface between the Fire Support system and the Fire Markers in the field.
- Must be able to maintain detailed records of all data.
- Must possess the ability to communicate over assigned radio using proper military communications procedures.
- Must be able to work alternating 12-hour shifts which include nights and weekends during training rotations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Ability to obtain and maintain a secret level clearance. Active Secret preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High School Diploma.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6 months+ experience in the JRTC Fire Support cell.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
- Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiar with Microsoft Office PowerPoint, P25 Radio system, possess typing skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees. This job will primarily be in an Office Setting. Outside working conditions include potential exposure to extreme high temperatures, dry and dusty conditions, and uneven walking surfaces.
