We are looking for a friendly, upbeat, and reliable Counter Attendant to join our team at CurrentBurger The Counter Attendant is the first point of contact for every guest at the outlet and sets the tone for the entire dining experience. This role is responsible for greeting guests, accurately processing food and beverage orders, handling all payment transactions, and supporting the daily operation of the restaurant through attentive service, cleanliness, and teamwork. The standard is not speed alone. It is speed with care, accuracy with warmth, and consistency without exception.

Inspired by classic soda shops, this casual eatery serves a variety of elevated comfort foods, including juicy smash burgers and hand-spun milkshakes. Eat in, or pick up your order from our take-out window bordering Waterfront Park.
HOURS OF OPERATION: 11 AM – 9 PM daily (Part-Time or Full-Time schedules available)

Guest Service and Order Management
Welcome every guest with a warm, professional demeanor that reflects BHC service standards from the first moment of contact.
Accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS system, confirming details with the guest before submission.
Answer guest questions regarding menu offerings, ingredients, dietary restrictions, and daily features with knowledge and confidence.
Communicate guest requests, modifications, and allergy information clearly and promptly to the culinary and service teams.
Deliver food and beverages to guests with attention to order accuracy, timing, and presentation standards.
Verify takeout orders for completeness and accuracy prior to guest pickup.
Payment Processing and Cash Handling
Process cash, credit card, gift card, and mobile payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
Maintain full accountability for assigned cash drawer, following all BHC cash-handling procedures without exception.
Reconcile transactions at the end of each shift and report discrepancies to the manager on duty immediately.
Cleanliness, Restocking, and Operational Support
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, beverage stations, condiment stations, and all guest-facing service areas throughout the shift.
Clear, sanitize, and reset tables in accordance with BHC standards.
Restock front-of-house supplies including utensils, napkins, cups, lids, condiments, and to-go packaging before supplies run low.
Complete opening, side work, and closing responsibilities as assigned.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health procedures at all times.
Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively with managers and fellow team members to ensure smooth daily operations and a consistent guest experience.
Communicate proactively with the team during service, flagging issues before they affect the guest.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous restaurant, hospitality, retail, or guest service experience preferred.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic math proficiency and cash-handling experience.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and attentive in a high-volume service environment.
Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering excellent guest service.
Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the duration of a shift.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and move throughout the restaurant as needed.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and service standards.
Ability to safely operate restaurant equipment and perform repetitive tasks including POS operation, food handling, and restocking.
