Job Description

  • Acts as a laborer on the Bill Validator Drop. The collection process of accurately staging and replacing full drop devices with empty devices on a scheduled basis and/or as otherwise notified. (28% of time in a typical month)
  • Acts as a laborer in the Count Room emptying the contents of gaming devices, counting, and recording them to the assets from which they came. Sort and generate paperwork as related to each count process. (28% of time in a typical month)
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations. Utilize ten-key calculator. Use Excel and Casino System programs to balance the room, transfer funds to the Cage Department, and prepare documentation to be delivered to Accounting for each type of count. (28% of the time in a typical month)
  • Team Members are required to become certified to safely maneuver a hand operated “Tow-Cart”, used to move BV carts across the casino floor. (10% of time in a typical month) Responsible for safeguarding company assets. (100% of time)
  • Maintain awareness of changes and/or problems which may adversely affect the operations and report them to leadership. (100% of time)
  • Maintaining control of and protecting large amounts of currency, chips, tickets, and coupons. (100% of time)
  • Ensuring prevention of loss by providing care and attention to detail throughout all processes. (100% of time)
  • Ensure Integrity through adherence to all MICS (Minimum Internal Controls Standards as set by the state of MO, the ICS (Ameristar Internal Control Standards), Count Team SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Ameristar Policies and procedures. (100% of time)

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Position requires high school diploma or its equivalent and/or experience to satisfy all elements of this position.
  • 6 months or more in Count and/or Casino industry preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions
  • Must successfully pass background check
  • Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
  • Must be 21 years of age
