Summer may be wrapping up, but NORY camps continue throughout the school year! We are now opening applications for our upcoming School Break Day Camps and looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and reliable School Break Camp Counselors to join our NYC team. NORY operates camps during select school breaks and days when schools are closed throughout the year, making this a great opportunity for teachers, substitute teachers, college students, teaching artists, afterschool educators, and camp professionals looking for flexible opportunities that fit their availability. When? Select school breaks and days when schools are closed throughout the school year, including Thanksgiving break, winter break, spring break, Memorial Day, and more.
Availability? You do not need to be available for every School Break Day Camp. Share the specific dates and school breaks that work for your schedule.
Schedule? 7:30 AM to 4:15 PM on scheduled camp days.
Compensation? $169 to $179/day, with an additional $20/hour for extended care until 5:00 PM.
Location? Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Mentorship and Guidance: Lead campers through interactive STEM activities, guiding both their educational and personal development.
Safety and Supervision: Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all campers, adhering to camp safety guidelines.
Activity Coordination: Help organize and lead camp activities, ensuring each day is dynamic and enriching for every camper.
Experience with Children: You have 2+ years of experience working with children ages 3 to 12 and possess a genuine passion for education and child development.
Enthusiastic and Eager to Learn: You are enthusiastic about learning new technologies and skills.
Positive and Solution-Oriented: You maintain a positive outlook, always seeking solutions and welcoming constructive feedback to foster personal growth.
Fun and Energetic: Your energetic and fun loving nature matches the dynamism of our young campers.
Flexible School Break Availability: You are interested in working during at least some school breaks and days when schools are closed throughout the year. You do not need to commit to every School Break Day Camp.
