The Counselor – Intern Supervisor plays a vital role in advancing student well-being at College of Western Idaho by providing compassionate, student-centered counseling services while leading the Counseling and Wellness Services intern program. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Counseling and Wellness Services, this position combines direct clinical care with supervision and mentorship of master’s-level counseling interns. The ideal candidate is passionate about student mental health, crisis support, professional development, and building strong partnerships that strengthen access to counseling resources across campus and the community.
This role supports students’ personal, social, academic, and career success through short-term counseling, crisis intervention, outreach, consultation, and referrals, while fostering a high-quality training experience for emerging counseling professionals.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Licensed in the State of Idaho to independently practice as clinical counselor (LCPC/LCSW)
• Approved (or eligible to be approved) clinical supervisor in the State of Idaho
• Experience providing clinical supervision to pre-license or licensed counselors
• Four years of experience working in social services or in a similar position within education
• Experience with mental health provision in a post-secondary setting, preferred.
• Experience in crisis intervention and assessment.
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
