Counselor Position in Duke Wilmington Office

Re: Housing Information Specialist

Candidate will be responsible for establishment, coordination, and development of housing assistance services for eligible persons. Candidate will develop and build relationships with landlords and the local housing community, establish and maintain housing information for persons in Warren, Granville, Lee, and Vance counties. Complete and process assessment for persons living with HIV/AIDS with housing needs and identify the housing needs of the eligible participants in the network service area.

This counselor/housing assistance specialist will assist with referrals to affordable housing resources, assist in locating available, affordable and appropriate housing units, work with property owners and case managers to secure units for participants, homelessness prevention, and other housing-related activity. Candidate must have HOPWA oversight Training and Getting to Work HOPWA Module Understanding the value of work as well as six months experience working in a HOPWA program.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Minimum Education/Training Requirements:

Candidate must have HOPWA oversight Training and HOPWA Financial Management Training as well as one year experience working in a HOPWA program with participants

Work will be performed in the Partners in Caring office located in Wilmington, NC.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $45,896.00 to USD $73,441.00.
