The Counsellors in the Community Opioid Addictions Program (COAP) work with existing community services to provide coordinated, collaborative, community-based health and social services from an interdisciplinary, integrated and holistic perspective for people with opioid addiction; prioritizing pregnant women and people living with HIV and or Hepatitis C and including people with poly-substance use and/or concurrent disorders.
Providing client-centred care from a harm reduction approach, this direct service position will engage in community development, capacity building and program development with a wide variety of service providers.

Police Vulnerable Sector Check Requirements
Successful candidates must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check completed in the last six months. Interested applicants who reside in the City of London and are in need of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) are encouraged to apply for one as soon as possible as PVSCs in the City of London are currently taking approximately 5 weeks to be processed and offers of employment cannot be made without receipt of a PVSC.

CMHA TVAMHS is one of the largest branches in the national CMHA federation, with more than 650 employees and approximately 300 volunteers, serving communities across three counties with a total population of over 635,000.
The organization was established in April 2021 when three organizations (Addiction Services of Thames Valley, CMHA Elgin-Middlesex and CMHA Oxford) united to better serve the mental health and addiction needs of the Thames Valley Region.
