The COTA assists in the provision of therapy under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist who shall be responsible for the extent, kind, and quality of the services provided by the COTA through a continuum of care. This work is performed according to the Board of Occupational Therapy, Code of Ethics, JCAHO/UMQC, Policies and Procedures, and Federal/State regulations.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
·Must have variety of problem solving skills
·Excellent communications skills with internal and external customers
·AHA BLS
·CA COTA license or pending license
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
Recent experience as a COTA in an inpatient setting
