Responsibilities

COTA - Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will:

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and rehabilitation goals
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions
  • Accurately document patient progress and treatment outcomes in the EMR system
  • Collaborate with therapy, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Help patients improve independence, strength, and overall quality of life

Qualifications

COTA - Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant:

  • Current New York State COTA license required
  • Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for working with geriatric / elderly populations

  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
